ELKHART- Teresa de Jesus Funes de Bermudez, 70, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday July 16, 2025, at Elkhart General Hospital.  She was born August 27, 1954, in Usulután, El Salvador to Jose Funes & Ana Julia (Bonilla) Chavarria.

     Surviving is a son, Walter Alfredo Funes and daughter in law Evelyn Morales and their 4 children, Roberto Arturo Meza, Walter Edilson Funes, Juliana Funes, Genisis Morales; a daughter, Julia Lorena Gonzalez and son in law, Jose Gonzalez and their 2 children, Fernando Gonzalez, Julissa Gonzalez, a son, Elenilson Vadimir Funes and daughter in law, Lenny de Funes and their children, Heily Teresa Funes, Diego Funes, Seidy Funes and a son Odair Bermudez Meza and daughter in law, Bessy Fuentes and their children Scarlet Bermudez, Christofer Bermudez.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and 4 brothers and sisters.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 till 8:00 p.m. on Thursday July 24, 2025, at Zimmerman-Clouse Funeral Home (formerly Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home, 1129 S. Prairie Street, Elkhart, IN 46516.  Additional visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Friday July 25, 2025, in the Vincent Hall at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.  The Mass of Christian Burial will start at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.  Fr. Craig Borchart will render the Mass, and burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery in Elkhart.
