ELKHART- Sherry L. (Banks) Houston, 57, of Elkhart, In., passed away at her home on March 26, 2018.

Sherry was born on November 11, 1960 as the daughter of James Sr. and Luebrta (Truih) Banks. She married Rev. Alfredrick Houston on January 25, 2007. She is survived by her husband; Rev Alfredrick Houston, 11 sisters, and 2 brothers. Sherry was a Nurse Assistance at various nursing homes for a number of years. She also, was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, and DAV # 19 auxiliary.

Visitation will be April 6, 2018 at 11:00am with service following at 12:00p noon at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Danny Brown will preside and burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, Chicago IL Office, 55 E. Monroe St., Suite 3420, Chicago, IL 60603.
