SALLY ANN WEIRICH

August 10, 1929 – September 23, 2023

 ELKHART- Sally Ann Weirich, 94, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Elkhart Place.  She was born August 10, 1929, in Elkhart, Indiana to Charles Pierre & Levada Eileen (Cochran) Lemon.

     On December 21, 1946, she married David Weirich.  He preceded her in death in 2000.  Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Dunfee of Edwardsburg, MI, Loanne Eileen (Leonard) Harms of Goshen; one son, Michael David (Barbara) Weirich of Inverness, FL; four grandchildren, Lori Weirich, Tobi Weirich, Jami Weirich, David Andrew (Sara) Harms; and three great-grandchildren, Alexis Warner, Dwayne Brown, and Caleb Weirich.  Also surviving is one sister, Patricia Misener of Elkhart, IN.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Richard Lemon, and a sister, Sharon Rice.

     Sally was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and the Rosary Society at the Church, a member of the Dunlap Lions Club (the first woman in the club) and a life-time member of the Girl Scouts where she directed summer camps and led troops.  In her free time, she enjoyed visiting with friends and family, crocheting, reading, and writing poetry.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home, 1129 South Prairie Street, Elkhart.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Fr. Craig Borchard will preside and cremation will follow the Mass.  

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Dunlap Lions Club.  Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse has been entrusted with her care.
