RICHARD A. SCHAAF

July 6, 1972 – September 15, 2018

GOSHEN- Richard A. Schaaf, 46, of Goshen, passed away Saturday September 15, 2018 at Goshen General Hospital. He was born July 6, 1972 in Warsaw, Indiana to Floyd E. Schaaf, Sr. and Carol E. Yoder.

On June 27, 2016 he married Rebecca H. (Yochim) Richardson. She survives along with his 2 sons, Tyler A. (Ashley) Schaaf, Trevor L. Schaaf both of Goshen; 2 step sons, Samuel (Kadie) Richardson of Elkhart, Michael Richardson of Goshen and a step daughter, Amber (Justin) Miller of Goshen.

Also surviving is his mother, Carol E. Schaaf of Goshen; numerous grandchildren including, Ryan, Delilah, Michael, Alyssa, Samuel, Bailey, Bella, Elijah, Mercedes, Gabby and Elizabeth; one brother, Jimmy Kline of Goshen and 4 sisters, Jenny Kline, Linda Minns, Becky Wennerstrom all of Elkhart and Michelle (Nate) Mast of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Floyd E. Schaaf, Jr.

Richard worked as a receiver at Dutchman Plant 810 in Goshen. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler football fan, he also enjoyed baseball, fishing, playing poker and spending time with his family.

Visitation for family and friends will be from Noon till 4 p.m. on Sunday September 23, 2018 at the Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home, 1129 S. Prairie Street, Elkhart, IN. Cremation will follow the visitation and burial will be private at a later date.
