Myrtle E. Bowers

Union, MI-Myrtle E. Bowers 90, passed away November 23, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the Elkhart Hospice House. She was born March 15, 1926 in Constantine, MI to Arthur and Lillian (Burns) Sell.
On June 26, 1948 in Constantine, MI she married Roy A. Bowers; he preceded her in death on November 23, 2010. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Linda S. Bowers in 1970, a son Marvin Bowers in 1957, 3 brothers Russell Sell, Forrest Sell and Otto Sell and a sister Mildred Sell.
Surviving is 1 son Melvin (Linda) Bowers of Union, MI, 3 grandchildren Jon Bowers of Cassopolis, MI, Matthew (Tina) Bowers of Union, MI and Mellinda Bowers of Elkhart. Also surviving are 5 great-grandchildren and 1 sister Marty (Gill) Jackson of Three Rivers, MI.
Myrtle sold wedding invitations in Elkhart, worked as a waitress at different restaurants and attended Bethany Missionary Church.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service Monday, November 28, 2016 at Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
