ELKHART- Martha Lee McLemore, 87, of Elkhart, passed away Friday August 23, 2024, at Greenleaf Health Campus.  She was born December 23, 1936, in Waterloo, Alabama to Edwin & Velma (Balentine) Robertson.

     On June 26, 1954, she married Gerald E. McLemore.  He preceded her in death on April 7, 2016.  Surviving are 2 sons, Douglas (Laura) McLemore of Maryville, TN, Roger (Mary) McLemore of Granger, IN; a daughter-in-law, Sheila McLemore of Elkhart, IN;11 grandchildren, Amy (Glen) Helmuth of Goshen, IN, Brandon (Amy) McLemore of Elkhart, IN, Cara McLemore of Hawkinsville, GA, Angela Cataldo of Ohio, Stephanie (Chris) Fair of Boone, NC, Emily (Andrew) Holcomb, Zachary McLemore both of Canton, GA, Jill (Eric) Botbyl of Humbolt, TN, Adam (Natalie) McLemore of Chicago, IL, Cory (Hala) McLemore of Elkhart, IN, and Alyssa (Terrell) McLemore of Elkhart, IN.  Also surviving are 23 great-grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Haynes of Florence, Alabama.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald, a son Don McLemore and 5 siblings.

     Martha was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a member of the First Baptist of Elkhart, and she helped her husband Gerald with the operation of his service station.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. till Noon on Wednesday September 4, 2024, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  The funeral service will start at Noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Pastors John Blodgett and Phil Byars will preside, and burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Goshen.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or to The Center for Hospice Care.
