MARILYN BETH RUST
GRANDVILLE, MI – Marilyn B. Rust, 62, of Lisbon Portugal, passed away on October 20, 2020. She was born February 25, 1958 in Warsaw, New York to Elmer William Kilian and Ilah Jane (Noble) Kilian.
On June 14, 1980 she Married Jonathan C. Rust in Clarks Summit, PA. He survives along with 3 sons, Nathanael (Laurie) Rust of Milwaukee WI, Jason (Lindsay) Rust of Elkhart, IN, Andrew (Mollie) Rust of Lisbon, Portugal; a daughter Rachelle (Shane) Bennett of Grand Rapids, MI; 14 grandchildren; 4 brothers, Roger (Carol) Kilian of Minneapolis, MN, Ronald (Susan) Kilian of Portage, MI, Ross (Donna) Kilian of Polk, PA, Rodney (Cynthia) Kilian of Milwaukee, WI; a sister Eileen (Charles) Russell of Cherry Hill, NJ and many nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elkhart. In 1980 she graduated from Baptist Bible College of PA (now Clarks Summit University) with a Bachelors of Sacred Music degree. Her love for music was used by God for 36 years of ministry in Portugal alongside her husband in piano and flute performance as well as the joy of teaching numerous students. She was known for the gift of hospitality in her home and a listening ear with many of her friends and colleagues.
Friday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm will be visitation at First Baptist Church of Elkhart Indiana (53953 County Road 17, Bristol, IN 46507-9722)
Saturday at 9:00 will be another option for visitation and at 10:00am will the funeral service at First Baptist which should be also available on Live Stream through the church's website https://fbcelkhart.org/home
Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Goshen and Pastor John Blodgett from the First Baptist Church will preside over the services.
