ELKHART- Maria F. Rivera Hernandez, 51, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday May 17, 2018 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born October 14, 1966 in Tamaulipas, Mexico to the late Juan & Paula (Villarreal) Hernandez.

She married Alfredo Rivera in Mexico and he survives along with a son, Alfredo Rivera, Jr.; 2 brothers, Dagoberto and Demecio Hernandez and 2 sisters, Felicitas and Josefina Hernandez all of Elkhart.

Maria was a loving wife mother and sister and she attended St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 21, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Waterman Westbrook Clouse Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 22, 2018 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Fr. Matthew Coonan will preside and burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the mass in the Vincent Hall at the Church.
