MAMIE L. COOPER
December 19, 1910 - July 3, 2016
ELKHART- Mamie L. Cooper, 105, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday July 3, 2016 at Hubbard Hill Estates. She was born December 19, 1910 in Nappanee, Indiana to Otto and Ida (Stull) Defreese.
On December 18, 1932 she married George M. Cooper. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2001. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Gregory M. Cooper, seven sisters, Helen Smole, Grace Linn, Virginia Plank, Myrtle Hostetler, Betty Lorenz, Treva Diller, Opal Defreese, and a brother, George Defreese.
A private graveside service will be held on Monday July 11, 2016 at Rice Cemetery. Pastor Jay Morris will preside. Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home is entrusted with her arrangements. Mamie was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church to which memorial contributions may be given.
