Lonnie Joseph Hopkins
December 25, 1959 – March 10, 2026
Elkhart- Lonnie Joseph Hopkins, 66, of Elkhart, IN., passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026. He was born December 25, 1959, to Lonnie and Helen (Trusty) Hopkins in Valparaiso, IN who have preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children RaeAnn & Woody Walters of Monticello, Indiana, Clinton & Shawna Winger of Lafayette, Indiana , and 2 stepchildren. He is also survived by his Grandkids: Damien Dj Anderson, Dante Anderson, and Donarae Anderson, and 11 other grandchildren and step grandchildren and his Great Grandchildren: Bryce and Evelyn Hawkins; Siblings: 4 sisters and 2 brothers; 13 nieces and nephews
Per Lonnie’s wishes, He was cremated and a celebration of life will be announced and held later this year over the summer where he will be laid to rest with both his mother and father.
Lonnie loved his family and reminiscing about memories shared with them. He loved working on houses and building things with his hands. He had a love of classic muscle cars. He worked on cars and many people would trust him before anyone else. We loved to go out morel mushroom hunting during the spring and fishing on beautiful days.
