Karen E. (Storms) Clouse

Elkhart- Karen E. (Storms) Clouse ,85, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at The Maples of Waterford Crossing, in Goshen, Indiana. She was born April 4, 1940, in St. Joseph County, Michigan to the late Paul & Esther (Yunker) Storms.

On October 19, 1963, in Sturgis, Michigan she married Terrence J. Clouse. He survives along with 3 children, Patricia (Roger) Roelofs of Grand Rapids, MI, Steven (Becky) Clouse of Kansas City, MO, Timothy (Larisa) Clouse of Columbia, MO and a second daughter, Amy (Josh) Gelatt of Hays, Kansas. Additional survivors include 5 grandchildren, Erin & Emma Clouse, Caleb & Peter Gelatt, Remi (Mitch) Perkins; 1 great granddaughter, Nomi Perkins; her sister, Ruth Jones and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Maryellen Mollsen and Jean Ann Storms.

Karen with her husband owned and helped with the operation of Westbrook-Metz-Clouse Funeral Home. Karen was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Elkhart, a member of the Wertman’s Life Group, and a member of the Gideons International Auxiliary. She was very Active in the Church Missionary Program and cooked for many of the church functions. She served on the Board and cooked at the Bair Lake Bible Camp for many years.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. Till 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Elkhart, 53953 County Road 17, Bristol, IN 46507. The Funeral will start at 1:00 p.m. at the Church and Pastor Phil Byars will preside. Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery of Elkhart.
