JOSEPH PAUL CRISE

December 27, 1948 – January 9, 2025

GOSHEN- Joseph Paul Crise, 76, of Goshen, Indiana passed away Thursday January 9, 2025, at Goshen Hospital.  He was born December 27, 1948, in Goshen, Indiana to Cleo & Esther (Wade) Crise.

   On May 12, 1997, he married Alecia Doucet.  She survives along with 3 daughters, Angela VanBuren of Ft. Wayne, Janette (Kevin) Price, Jennifer Wheeler of Elkhart; 3 sons, Jerry (Kerry) Crise of Stevensville, MI, Joseph (Shayla) Crise of White Pigeon, MI, Joshua Crise of Goshen, IN; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are 3 siblings, Carl (Elana) Crise of Elkhart, John (Norma) Crise of KY, Mary A. Johnson of Elkhart and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Ruth Waggoner, Esther May Collins, Virginia Ellen Trost and 2 brothers, Ira Crise and Robert Crise.

     Joseph was formerly employed as a truck driver and also worked in the musical instrument industry.  Joseph was a member of the Devil’s Disciple’s Motorcycle Club and a member of the Whosoever Will Worship Center.

He also played the bass guitar at church and served in the US Army in Vietnam.

     Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday January 14, 2025, at the Whosoever will Worship Center, 2819 S. Sixth Street, Elkhart, IN.  Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the service at the church.  Pastor Earl Hossler will render the service, and burial will follow at Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen where there will be full military honors rendered.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help defray funeral expenses.  Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
