JERRY A. MANN

August 23, 1940 – April 19, 2022

JONES, MI- Jerry A. Mann, 81, of Jones, Michigan, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana.  He was born August 23, 1940, in Nappanee, Indiana to Russell and Mildred (Parcell) Mann.

     On October 31, 1959 in Elkhart, Indiana he married Patricia DeFord.  She survives along with 3 sons, James “Todd” (Michele) Mann of Vero Beach, FL, Scott (Jan) Mann of Lafayette, IN, Matthew Mann of Jones, MI; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and twin sister, Jane (Jim) Bontrager, and his sister Joyce (Don) Metzler-Smith both of Elkhart, IN and many loving nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Rex Mann and Russell Mann, Jr., and 4 sisters,  Colleen Merrill, Marilyn West, Betty Schmalenberger, and Cheryl Deak.

     Jerry retired in 2000 from Miles Labs (Now Bayer) as an operating engineer.

He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Elkhart and he enjoyed bowling, and fixing things.

Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services for Jerry will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday May 6, 2022, at Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home, 1129 S. Prairie Street, Elkhart, IN.

Burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery. Presiding will be Jerry’s niece, Reverend Dawn Moorehouse of Memorial Hospital.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
