Jeri M. Reed-Rider

April 17, 1943 ~ December 9, 2021 (age 78)


Jeri M. Reed-Rider, 78, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at her residence in Elkhart.  She was born April 17, 1943, in Elkhart, Indiana to K.C. and Adah (Erwin) Roscoe.

     She married Rick W. Rider on April 25, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV.  He survives along with her 2 daughters, Kellie Kyle and Kristie (Patrick) Rosenogle both of Elkhart; 2 siblings, Gloria Thornton of Naples, FL and Kenny (Judy) Roscoe of Elkhart.  Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepson, Richard P. Rider.

     Jeri was a volunteer at Elkhart General Hospital and at the Wellfield Botanical Gardens.  She enjoyed gardening, loved flowers, enjoyed going for boat rides, watching sunsets, and living on Simonton Lake.  She dearly loved her Goldendoodle Cosmo.  She worked for many years at D & M Glass in Elkhart as an office manager.

     Cremation will take place.  A celebration of her life will take place on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Simonton Lake Sportsman Club from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm.  Memorial contributions may be given to The Wellfield Botanical Gardens.

 The family would like to extend a special THANK YOU to Dani Medel, Cathy Whitmer, Kristina Gerber and Patty from Heart to Heart Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Jeri.  Also, her many friends that have helped and supported her over the past year.  This truly meant the world to her.
