Janet "Jan" E. Morningstar

Janet “Jan” E. Morningstar, 88, passed away March 19, 2019 at Hubbard Hill Estates. She was born July 22, 1930 in Elkhart, IN to Robert & Josephine (Walter) Morehouse.

She married Mervin Morningstar; he preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Surviving are 3 children, Laura (Hugh) Johnson, Daniel (Pam) Pease, Andrew Pease all of Elkhart, 9 grandchildren, Ryan Pease of Union, Katie Pease of Ft. Wayne, Jennifer Barden of Goshen, Lindsay Jacobs of Goshen, Kyle Johnson of Granger, Erik Johnson of Granger, Angie Yoder of Elkhart, Hallie Pease of Elkhart, Taylor Pease of Elkhart and 26 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Patricia Morehouse of Virginia.

Jan was a member of First Baptist Church, Christian Light Sunday School Class and City Roamers.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the 11 am service Friday, March 22, 2019 at Waterman Westbrook Clouse Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.
