JANE MYERS

October 1, 1924 – April 10, 2020

ELKHART- Jane Myers, 95, of Elkhart, passed away Friday April 10, 2020 at Eastlake Terrace in Elkhart. She was born October 1, 1924 in South Bend, Indiana to Francis & LaVerne (Kepler) Beeson and was later raised at the age of 6 by her mother and stepfather Ralph Baske.

She married Leonald Lowell Myers of Wakarusa, Indiana on August 3, 1946. He died May 16, 1988. After 8 years Joseph Koscielny became her special friend for 17 years along with his loving family. Joseph passed away February 11, 2013. She is survived by a son Terry Lee (Rita) Myers of Elkhart, one son Tim Allen Myers died from a motorcycle accident on December 12, 1974. She has 2 grandsons, Jason Myers and Justin Myers and 3 great grandsons, Lenoxx, Gage and Talon.

Jane was a nature lover and enjoyed flower gardening and bird watching in her back yard which she called her little corner of the world. She had worked at Ziesel’s in Elkhart for 12 years and later went to work at the First National Bank and retired after 16 years. Jane volunteered at Elkhart General Hospital for 12 years in the Gift Shop. She was a charter member of New Hope United Methodist Church after first attending with her husband at Albright United Methodist Church.

Jane graduated from Mishawaka High School and lived in the Elkhart area since 1946.

A private family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday April 16, 2020 at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Granger. Pastor Char Harris-Allen from New Hope United Methodist Church will preside.

Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home is entrusted with her care. Memorial contributions may be given to New Hope United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
