Helen L Hall Jones

Sebring, Florida- Helen L. Hall Jones, 94, of Sebring, FL, passed away Sunday December 4, 2022, at Brickyard Healthcare in Kokomo, IN.  She was born May 5, 1928, in Leesburg, Indiana to Bert D. & Zella Elizabeth (Dorsey) Rowe.

     On September 2, 1967, in Elkhart, Indiana she married Dr. Hugh T. Hall.  He passed away in 1996.  She then married Robert Jones in 1999 and he preceded her in death in 2012.  Surviving are 3 stepdaughters, Judy Schulz of Elkhart, IN, Darcy (Chris) Vergeils from Brazil, South America, Melinda Rapelje of Michigan; 2 stepsons, Robert Jones, Jr. of IL, Curtis (Michelle) Jones of PA; numerous step grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her 2 husbands, 2 sisters, Wilma Williams and Francis Plew and her stepson Sam Hall.

     She was a graduate of Fort Wayne Bible College, Goshen College, and Wright’s State College in Dayton, OH.  Helen was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Sebring, FL.  Helen served as a missionary for Baptist Mid-Missions in Brazil from 1952 – 1967. She taught elementary education at Cedarville College from 1977-1987 and was a secretary at Maranatha Baptist Church in Sebring, FL.

      Funeral services for Helen will be held at Noon Saturday December 10, 2022, at Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home, 1129 S. Prairie Street, Elkhart, IN 46516.  Rev. Keith Treadway from the Kokomo Bible Baptist Church will render the service and burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family for 1 hour prior to the start of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
