EVELYN A. NUSBAUM

May 16, 1924 – September 21, 2020

GOSHEN- Evelyn A. Nusbaum, 96, of Goshen and formerly of Elkhart, died on Monday September 21, 2020 at Millers Merry Manor in Wakarusa.  She was born May 16, 1924 in Elkhart County, Indiana to Truman P. & Mary (Kohl) Fulmer.

     On June 6, 1943 she married Manford Nusbaum.  He preceded her in death on December 23, 1995.  Surviving are 3 children, Ruby Carpenter of Goshen, IN, William (Tina) Nusbaum of Tuscumbia, AL, Lester (Roxanne) Nusbaum of Murphy, NC; 13 grandchildren and blessed with many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Sharon Vaughn, twin sons, Donald & Ronald Nusbaum, a grandson, Charles James Nusbaum, a brother, Robert Fulmer and 2 sisters, Irene Fulmer and Josephine Cathy.

     Evelyn was a long-time member of the Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and designing quilts.  Evelyn worked as a seamstress at Boris Smoler Dress Factory and retired from Kinders.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 3-6 p.m. Thursday at Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home and from Noon till 1 p.m. Friday at the Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren.  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday September 25, 2020 at the church.  Pastor Mike Martin will preside and burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
