Eugene Duane Hill, 100, passed away on July 5, 2026, in Elkhart, Indiana at his home. He was born on October 13, 1925, in Claypool, Indiana. Son of Dean Clifford and Mildred Chloe (Justice) Hill, brother to Frederick D. Hill.      Eugene graduated from high school in Warsaw, Indiana. He worked at the Times newspaper in Warsaw before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He was married to Elaine Norma Hill for 52 years.

Eugene was a WWII veteran and ran his own business “Hear More Hearing Aid Service” for 55 years in Elkhart, Indiana. He had a passion for golf and was a charter member of the Bent Oak Golf Club.

   His wife Elaine and his brother Frederick preceded him in death. Eugene is survived by his two children, Clifford Dean Hill and Cynthia Jean Schlotzhauer.

Cremation will take place, and a graveside service with military honors will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.  Zimmerman-Clouse Funeral Home, 1129 S. Prairie Street, Elkhart, IN, is entrusted with his care.
