Esther Sams

ELKHART- Esther F. Sams, 76, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday January 31, 2017 at East Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 19, 1940 in Jamestown, TN.
On August 8, 1980 in Toledo, Ohio she married David S. Sams. He preceded her in death on July 27, 2010 in Elkhart, IN. Surviving are seven children; William Bloss, Judy (Greg) Price both of Elkhart, Barbara Huff of Chickasha, OK, Linda Lester of Bristol, IN, Sam Bloss of New Paris, IN, Marydean Rodgers and Jimmy Rodgers both of Goshen, IN. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Esther was a homemaker who loved sewing and spending time with her family. She was a member of the DAV.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday February 3, 2017 at Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home. Pastor Keith McFarren from Bethel United Methodist Church will preside and burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
