DONNA M. KARASCH

August 19, 1930 – May 30, 2018

ELKHART- Donna M. Karasch, 87, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday May 30, 2018 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born August 19, 1930 in St. Paul, MN to James & Helen (Stafford) Wilburne.

On October 8, 1960 in St. Vincent Church in Elkhart she married William C. Karasch. He survives along with 3 children, Monica (David) Tieman of New Palestine, IN, Chuck (Tanya) Karasch and James Karasch both of Elkhart; 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, Mynah, Ella and a brother, Edward Stafford (Janice) Wilburne of Taylor, MI.

Donna graduated in 1948 from Elkhart High School. She was a longtime member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and she enjoyed reading and gardening. Donna was formerly employed at Wray’s Ice Cream, Ziesel’s, Strauss Bakery and most recently at Elder- Beerman Department Store.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 1, 2018 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Fr. Matthew Coonan will preside and burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. Friday in the Vincent Hall at the Church.

Memorial contributions may be given to the church. Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home is entrusted with her arrangements.
