DANIEL WAYNE HUHTA

February 13, 1959 – July 2, 2021

 

 

 

GOSHEN- Daniel Wayne Huhta, 62, was born February 13, 1959, in Wayne, Michigan and died after an extended illness Friday July 2, 2021, at Elkhart General Hospital.  He is survived by his father, Wayne Huhta of Goshen; five siblings, Ruth (Ken) VanKirk of Tucson, Arizona, Judi (Mikal) Kildal of Roseburg, Oregon, David (Kim) Huhta of Centerville, Ohio, Jim (Cathy) Huhta of St. John, Indiana and Steve (Christal) Huhta of Elkhart, Indiana  He is preceded in death by his mother, Esther (Peterson) Huhta and a nephew, Jordan Michael Huhta.

 

Daniel (Danny) was a member of the McCoy Memorial Baptist Church of Elkhart.  Despite enduring many life challenges, he touched the lives of others with his sweet spirit, cheery smile and servant’s heart.  He was a companion in ministry with his parents, a hardworking volunteer, a beloved brother, and a loving uncle who was always interested in the birthdays, anniversaries, and activities of his many nieces and nephews.  Danny will be greatly missed but his family looks forward to seeing him again, free from disability, frailty, and illness in the presence of His Savior Jesus Christ in glory.

 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday July 9, 2021, and from 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 10, 2021 at Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home, 1129 S. Prairie Street, Elkhart, with the service following at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Ray LaBorde of the McCoy Memorial Baptist Church will be officiating.  Burial will take place at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Goshen.
