CURTIS R. WARREN

July 2, 1938 – November 28, 2023

ELKHART, IN- Curtis R. Warren, 85, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Tuesday November 28, 2023, at his residence in Elkhart, Indiana.  He was born July 2, 1938, in Stanley, Wisconsin to Ora & Helen (Bradley) Warren.

     On December 28, 1962, he married Becky L. Stevens.  She survives along with 2 children, Paula (Wayne) Daniel of Elkhart, IN, Paul (Zoraida) Warren of Goshen, IN; 2 grandchildren, Brandon Scott Warren and Dean Anthony Warren both of Goshen, IN and 1 sister, Jane Cox of Elkhart, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Bud Warren and 2 sisters, Helen Mae Warren, and Lois (Nevel) Reynolds.

     Curtis served in the US Air Force from 1955 till 1960 and was honorably discharged.  He was a member of Elkhart Life Church; a life member of the DAV and he enjoyed golfing.  Curtis was a truck driver for most of his life.  He also worked in management at Astro Bowl, worked for Elkhart General Hospital and A.M. General.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday December 6, 2023, at Elkhart Life Church, 1135 Middlebury St, Elkhart, IN.  The funeral service will start at 6 p.m. The folding and presentation of the US Burial Flag will follow the service at the church.  Pastor Mark Johnson will render the service and cremation will follow. 

     Inurnment with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday December 8, 2023, in the veteran’s section at Prairie Street Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to Elkhart Life Church, the American Diabetes Association or Cancer Resources for Elkhart County.
