CLAUDE EUGENE SNYDER

December 5, 1932 – October 30, 2021

ELKHART- Claude Eugene Snyder, 88, of Elkhart, died Saturday October 30, 2021, at Brentwood of Elkhart A.L. .  He was born December 5, 1932, in Albion, Indiana to Clinton L. and Lotie Mae (Hawk) Snyder.

     He married Virginia Fulford and she died in 2009.  He then married Pauline D. Brown on April 26, 2011.   She survives along with a stepdaughter, Tina (Randy) Miller of Elkhart; 4 step grandchildren, Michael (Karis) Miller of Petersburg, IN, Kevin (Katie) Jones of Burnaby, Canada, Karen Jones of Elkhart and Robert Miller of Collinsville, IL.  Also surviving is a brother, James Snyder of Elkhart and many nieces and nephews that he loved.

He was preceded in death by Clinton L. Snyder, Lotie Mae Snyder, Leroy Henry Snyder and Harold Allen Snyder.

    Claude attended Purdue University and Tri State College.   He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 to 1956 and received an honorable discharge.    He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.  Claude was employed as an engineer at Martin-Marietta (Lockheed-Martin) in Florida.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday November 4, 2021, at the Northside Baptist Church, 53198 C.R. 9, Elkhart, Indiana 46514.  Pastor Carl Henry will preside and burial follow in Olive (West) Cemetery, where full military honors will be rendered.  Friends may visit with the family for 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

     Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Northside Baptist Church, Second Chance Small Dog Rescue or Alzheimer’s Associations at alz.org.
