CARL R. CRISE

June 22, 1937 – June 7, 2026

ELKHART- Carl R. Crise, 88, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Sunday June 7, 2026, at his residence in Elkhart.  He was born June 22, 1937, in Bristol, Indiana to Cleo & Esther (Wade) Crise.

     On July 8, 1958, in Bristol, IN, he married Madonna Vice.  She preceded him in death on April 14, 2021, in Elkhart, Indiana.  He then married Elena Juarez on October 3, 2021.  She survives along with 1 sister, Mary Johnson of Elkhart, IN; 1 brother, John (Norma) Crise of Elkhart, IN and numerous nieces & nephews.

Also surviving are 7 step- children, numerous step grandchildren and 2 brothers-in-law, Marvin Troust and Fred Bice.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Madonna, 3 brothers, Ira, Bob and Joseph; 3 sisters, Ruth Viola Waggoner, Esther May Collins and Virginia Trost.

     Carl was employed in the musical instrument industry in Elkhart for many years and was also an ordained minister for over 40 years.  He was pastor at Whosoever Will Worship Center for several years.  He was also a presbyter.  Carl received an associate degree from Bible College and served in the US Navy.  He assisted with the Word of Life Fellowship and was a member and chaplain of the Christian Motorcycle Association.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. on Thursday June 11, 2026, at the Whosoever Will Worship Center, 2819 S. 6th Street, Elkhart, IN 46517.  The funeral service will start at 1:00 p.m. at the church.  Rev. Rick Helton will render the service, and burial will follow at Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen where there will be full military honors rendered.  Zimmerman-Clouse Funeral Home (formerly Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home) is entrusted with his care.
