Bobby Joe Engle

ELKHART- Bobby Joe Engle left his earthly home on October 10, 2021 to meet his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, in his heavenly home.  He was born in Sullivan, Indiana on April 21, 1938.

     After graduating from Indiana State University with a degree in chemistry, Bob joined Miles Laboratories in Medical Research.  He joined the Bayer Diagnostic Manufacturing Division in 1968, retiring in January of 1998 as Vice-President of Instrument and Reagent Manufacturing after 37 years with Miles/Bayer.

     He is survived by his wife Jo; his daughter and her significant other Michelle Waldrop (Jeff Chambers) of Elkhart; his son, Michael (Mindy) Engle of Elkhart; two granddaughters, Keri (Chris) Risse of Goshen and Marina Engle of Elkhart and 2 great-grandchildren, Caden Risse and Piper Risse.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ruth (Allen) Engle.

     Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, basketball and was an avid Green Bay Packer Football fan.  He also enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola Memorabilia.

     Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.

At Bob’s request a private graveside service will be held on Friday October 15, 2021 with Dick Barfell officiating.

     Memorial contributions may be given to Church Community Services, the Faith Mission or to Hubbard Hill Estates.
